Recycling

Have a Recychedelic time at this year’s Aura Music and Arts Festival by helping the Greencycle Crew divert tons of recyclables produced at the festival from ending up at the landfill:

As part of Aura’s commitment to the environment, organizers are proud to present the 2nd annual appearance of the Greencycle Program, an incentive initiative to get you recycling.

Other than providing recycling options throughout the concert field and venues, the Greencycle Crew will be providing recycling bags at the festival entrance to be used in the campgrounds.

The Recychedelic Center will be accepting your perfectly sorted recycling bags (Cans, plastic bottles and green, brown and clear glass separately please!) throughout the weekend that can be redeemed for immediate rewards. Bags must be separated by the type of recyclable item. Cash in your bag for tickets that can be used to purchase gifts and band merchandise such as CDs, hats, posters, koozies, artwork and other very special goods!

The person who trades in the most recycling bags throughout the weekend will receive 2 tickets to next year’s Festival.

Leave only your footprints!!!

Here are a few friendly tips to Green your Aura and leave the smallest footprint possible:

    • Carpool – The less stuff you sack, the more people you can pack!
    • Think reusable before you buy disposable! Bring reusable water bottles, reusable cups, plates and utensils.
Think of all the stuff you’ll keep off the landfill.
    • Bring water in gallon jugs as supposed of individually bottled water.
    • Buy food in bulk. Avoid bringing food that spoils easily or that is individually wrapped.
Don’t waste food, it ends up in the landfill too!!!
    • Keep the Styrofoam coolers and cups at home. The stuff is nasty and is really bad for the environment.
    • Smokers – bring an ashtray! Every butt you throw on the ground has to be picked up by someone. It’s your butt.
Thank you and See you at Aura!
